About me

Who I am.

I’m CJ Jensen. I grew up in Yokosuka, Japan as a Navy dependent. My formative years spent in Japan informed my approach to art, design, food, and public spaces.

I am a passionate human-centered designer; balancing the needs of the user with business objectives and goals. I put accessibility and quality design first, because when we design for everyone we build for success.

I am an entrepreneur, founding Utah’s first kombucha brewery in 2012. IN 2024 I co-founded Be Bold Job Readiness boot camp at North Hennepin Community College. in 2025 I co-founded Sew It Together: a community mending studio in North East Minneapolis. When I’m not working on digital product design I can be found behind my sewing machine or learning new hand stitching techniques.

I’m an avid vegetable gardener (ask me about companion planting) and prairie restoration nerd. When not serving as secretary on the Sheridan Neighborhood Board I can be found taking walks in my neighborhood.

I currently reside in the Minnesota, USA. But much like Prince, I live inside my own heart.
